It’s quite rare these days for Nike to launch a brand new silhouette, we see new colourways of classics on the daily but a brand new silhouette is always exciting. This time, it’s the “City Loop”, a brand new trainer designed for life in the city on a daily basis.Â
Designed with comfort and everyday durability in mind, Nike has once again tried their hand at creating the ultimate shoe for someone who spends their life in the city. Their latest creation is titled the “City Loop”. Someone who spends their time navigating the city need a trainer that optimises comfort, as a lot of walking and a lot of stairs will always be involved. Created with the familiar tech fleece material, the City Loop just might be the sneaker we’ve all been waiting for.

First off, we can definitely see some form of Huarache influence here, it’s quite obvious throughout the model, paying homage particularly to the Huarache Light. A brand new unique lacing system is used here, looping in-between the other lace. Bold rope laces are also used to increase durability. The upper of the model is created out of Tech Fleece material, something you may recognise from Nike’s tracksuits of the same name, and we have to say it’s a particularly cosy fabric. Nike branding is situated on the tongue tab of the model, as well as a classic Swoosh on the side.

If you’re liking the look of the City Loop, you’ll have to sit tight for a little while yet as no release date has been announced, however it has been confirmed to drop this Autumn. Expect the sneaker to be available via Nike, and select retailers. We’ve also had no word just yet on how hyped the sneaker will be, however we’re not expecting anything crazy.
