When streetwear legends Stüssy, hailing from California, announce a collaborative sneaker, everyone knows it’s going to be good. Even more so, when it’s with Converse – together, the two are a pair that can’t be challenged.
Converse Japan is celebrating it’s 100th year in operation this year, and what better way to celebrate than releasing a beautiful collaborative sneaker with streetwear and skate culture mainstays Stüssy. It isn’t the first time Stüssy have tried their hands at designing a Converse sneaker, and it probably won’t be their last.
The outcoming sneaker is, at a first glance – extremely basic. However we all know that a lot of the time, less is more. However the sneaker is actually jam-packed with minor details and finishing touches that really make it a nice piece of work. The model features Stüssy branding on the tongue, a pigment dyed cotton denim construction, a clean rubber midsole and Converse’s signature rubber toe cap.
The Converse Japan x Stüssy All Star is offered in two renditions – a monochrome black version and a navy version. The contrast stitching featured throughout the shoe is also a great low-key addition to the clean design.
This release will be limited, however it shouldn’t be insanely hard to get your hands on a pair, in our opinion this is one for the streetwear OG’s and elitists. The collaboration will be stocked at Stüssy stores worldwide, and is available right now.
