The Air Max 1 Jewel has had a whole lot of releases this year, however the silhouette hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down or getting old. The latest colourway to launch is in triple black, and it looks set to be one of the cleanest yet.
Triple Black is without a doubt one of the most classic colourways that any silhouette can adopt, and it was about time that the Air Max 1 Jewel got the treatment. The Jewel is different from the standard Air Max 1 only due to the Swoosh branding. Instead of a large Swoosh, it’s drastically reduced in size, and is made of a plastic “jewel” material.
The upper of the sneaker is constructed of premium quality suede, and Air Max branding is located both on the tongue and rear of the shoe. The Air unit that we all know and love is pleased to make an appearance as usual, and from the images the toe-box seems to be shaped very well – reminiscent of the original Air Max 1 shape. It’s great to see that as of late, Nike are taking notice and paying more attention to the shape of Air Max 1’s, as there was a time where they differentiated from the originals way too much.
If you’re looking to pick up a pair of these stealthy classics, unfortunately you’ll have to sit tight a little longer yet, as no official release details have been announced. However, as usual, when Nike release official images they don’t keep us waiting too long. Keep your eyes peeled for more information from us regarding the drop date.
