For SS16 Adidas brings back yet another classic to help cool us down, the Adidas Climacool 1 is a remake of the fan favourite. Dropping in 4 colourways we can’t think of a better trainer to keep your feet cool this season.
Adidas have brought back one of their popular running shoes, and updated them for SS16. The Adidas Climacool trainers first made their appearance on the sneaker scene in early 2000, and ever since then they have been a classic silhouette for the brand. This summer Adidas bring back the Climacool in 4 colourways, Black, Red, White and Green. So you’ll be bound to find a colour that you’ll want in your wardrobe come summer.
The Adidas Climacool 1
These shoes take an adidas running style from the early 2000s and revamp it for today. The lined low tops feature a textured, tech-inspired mix of materials, including ventilating climacool® to keep you comfortable.
Adidas Climacool Trainers in Black
The classic black colourway is perfect for those of us that have a colour phobia and like our trainers a monotone colour. Since these are a summer edition it would be rude to not wear them with shorts, for a natural carefree summer look why not try denim shorts and a crisp white shirt.
Adidas Climacool Trainers in Red
The boldest of all the colourways is the red. These are great for those of us that like to stand out when it comes to our footwear. Red always works well with dark denim but why not wear them with a nice pair of white shorts and a denim shirt for a Kanye-esque look.
Adidas Climacool Trainers in Green
The ice green pair is the most unique of the colourways and is a stand out piece of the pack. These are probably one of the most summery colours you can get, wear them with shorts and pick a shirt that has green accents.
Adidas Climacool Trainers in White
Finally, the brilliant white Climacool’s. Beware! If you aren’t one for keeping your sneakers clean then stay away from these at all cost, the mesh makes the dirt a lot more visible that your average pair of leather sneakers. However, if you are a tidy trainer head then these a probably the perfect summer trainers.
- climacool® provides 360-degree cooling for the entire foot
- Textile and synthetic upper
- ADIPRENE®+ in the forefoot maintains propulsion and efficiency
- Comfortable textile lining
- Moulded midsole for lightweight cushioning
- Decoupled rubber outsole

These trainers haven’t got the longest history since they first came on the scene in 2002. However, since their release we have seen the development of the Climacool brand within Adidas, and in 2012 Adidas introduced the Climacool Midsole into 3 of their trainers.
